Background
Wendy Biel and her husband, Michael, have called Roseville home since moving here in August 2001. They have been married since April 2000 and are the proud parents of five children. Wendy spent seven years working in hospitality management before stepping away to focus on raising her family. Over the past 25 years, she has primarily been a stay-at-home mother, Including several years of homeschooling. All five of her children attended and graduated from public schools in Placer County, giving her a broad perspective on different educational environments. She has also been involved in several small business ventures over the years, including early childhood care and education, photography, and raising and training Labrador Retrievers. In addition, she supports her husband in his general contracting business. Wendy has remained active in her community in a variety of volunteer and service roles, including volunteer work as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). She also served on the Placer County Grand Jury for two consecutive terms,, where she participated in various committees focused on reviewing local government operations and processes.
Currently, Wendy works with the Placer County Community Development Resource Agency. Wendy continues to stay engaged in her community while balancing work, family, and service. Wendy believes strong schools require thoughtful leadership, accountability, and collaboration. She is a parent, business owner, and public servant who cares deeply about the future of our schools.
